Frequently Asked Questions I'm not crazy about using my credit card online - can I mail a check? Absolutely! I can accept payment using Paypal, credit card, money order or check. Paypal and credit card payments are made through the shopping cart. Credit cards are processed through Paypal, but you DO NOT have to have a Paypal account to pay with a credit card. Money orders or checks can be mailed to: BillysPostcards.com, PO Box 902089, Kansas City, MO 64190-2089. If mailing payment, please remember to print the confirmation page and mail it with your payment. How long do I have to pay? Postcards will be held 14 calendar days. If payment is not received within those 14 days the postcards will no longer be held and will be available for someone else to purchase.. Do I have to create an account to purchase a postcard? Absolutely not! You can use the "Guest Checkout" option when checking out and you will not have to create an account. You might want create an account though - it will save you time when you purchase more cards in the future and you'll be able to access any wish list items next time you log in. How much are shipping charges? Shipping is free anywhere in the world. Postcards are shipped via USPS First Class Mail within the United States and First Class International Mail outside of the United States. Is shipping insurance available? Shipping insurance is not available, however I will generally insure larger domestic orders on my own. Insurance is not an option at all Internationally. Is USPS First Class shipping the only shipping option? All postcards are shipped through USPS, but if you need a quicker option I can ship it using either USPS Priority or USPS Express. Please email before purchasing if this is something you need. What is the "Add To Wish List" option at the bottom of a postcard page? The wish list allows you to group cards that you're interested in. These cards are still available for someone else to purchase and must be moved to the shopping cart before you can purchase them. If you plan on using the wish list, I recommend creating an account so your wish list will be available next time you log in. How do I determine the age of a postcard? There may be a few exceptions, but 99.9% of the time if a card is a pre-linen card the title will start with “Old Postcard” (1898-1930). If it is a linen card, the title will start with “Linen Postcard” (1930-1945). If it is a chrome card the title will start with simply “Postcard” (1939 -present). If it is a real-photo card it will have “RPPC” or “RP” in the title, or mentioned in the notes (real photo cards vary quite a bit by date). For a much more detailed explanation on how to determine the age of a postcard please visit the How Old is That Postcard? page. How do I know the size of a postcard? All cards are standard sized postcards (approx. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"), unless noted in the description. What is your Return Policy? Postcards may be returned within 7 days for a refund .. you pay the return shipping. How often do you add new cards and how do I find the most recently added cards? I am always adding new cards - anywhere from a couple hundred up to a couple thousand a month. There will usually be a note at the top of the home page to let you know when and how many new postcards were added. You can also see the most recently added cards by clicking on the "Recently Added Postcards" link in the lower left. The higher the page number, the more recently the card was added. I lost my password. Can you send it to me? Absolutely! On the Login page you'll see a link towards the bottom to have your password sent to you. The email you receive will have a new password. Once you log in with the new password you can click on the "Your Account" link again and scroll down to "Change Password" to change your password to whatever you want.
